I've mentioned it a thousand times, and I'll probably mention it a thousand more but...the winter weather absolutely sucks for my skin. It's like someone stuck a straw into my skin and sucked all the moisture out. It's a bit graphic, I know but it's my seasonal struggle. This year is taking a toll on my lips as well. Maybe its from me constantly licking my lips from looking at all the delicious Holiday recipes on Pinterest, or maybe my chapstick addiction is getting out of hand. Either way, I am in need of sweet relief. This Lip Balm recipe emphasizes the sweet as well as the relief. Just try to not eat all of it before you can see the amazing benefits it has for your lips. As usual, you can find all of these wonderful ingredients at your local health food store.
1 Tablespoon of Honey
1 Tablespoon of Almond Oil
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Beeswax
5 Drops of Vanilla Essential Oil
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine beeswax, honey, and oil until the wax has just melted. Remove from heat, add essential oil, and stir to blend. Using a whisk, rapidly stir the mixture until everything is evenly blended. Spoon the balm into a small storage container (used, clean mint tins work great) and let it set for at least 2 hours.
