What does Lumecca treat?
Lumecca is used to treat pigmented and vascular lesions such as:
- Age Spots
- Vascular lesions such as spider veins
- Rosacea
- Freckles
- Sun Damage
How does Lumecca work?
Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable light treatment.
How long does Lumecca take?
Session length will vary by the size of the treatment area, but treatments go fairly quickly.
What is the Recovery or Downtime for Lumecca?
Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subside within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterwards the pigmented lesions
flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone. Avoiding direct sun exposure before and after treatment is recommended.
How many Lumecca treatments are needed for best results?
We recommend three treatments for best results. Improvement can be seen with each treatment. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after 1-2 weeks.
Does Lumecca hurt?
During treatment there will be a bright flash of light, and a sensation on your
skin that feels like a light snap from an elastic band.
How much does Lumecca cost?
Lumecca treatments start at $300 per treatment, and can go up from there depending on treatment area and other factors.
